Shalom Pollack is a guide par excellence. He knows how to appeal to people of all age groups; he is especially sensitive to children and speaks at their level. He is warm, engaging, eloquent, and has a solid grasp of the history (both ancient and modern) of the Land of Israel. He is also extremely conversant in the current political situation of Israel, and has thought deeply about solutions to age-old problems. Our family especially loved when he took us to various sites and then read aloud the Biblical passages that referred to those places. He made the history seem fascinating - never tedious; there is never a boring moment with this guide. We recommend him wholeheartedly to any traveler who wants to see the real Israel. Jacqueline Bocian Two years ago I headed and organized a yeshivish, all-boys birthright israel sponsored tour. I was told that I would be having the best tour guide for my group. I was pleasantly surprised when we landed in Tel-Aviv airport and were greeted by our tour guide, Shalom Pollack. His patience for a bunch of tired and immature teenagers, quick wit, sense of humor and almost colossal wealth of information about the Holy Land quickly awed us. For many of us, this was the first time experiencing Israel. And what an experience it was! Or as he would say, "what a country it is." Throughout the ten-day duration of the trip that we were privileged to share with him, he shared with us all or maybe just some of what Eretz Yisroel had to offer. We went from North to South, East to West and everywhere in between. We never had a dull moment with Shalom leading us. He boasts of fluency in English, Hebrew, Yiddish and German, and to test him I asked him once to give his presentation in German, he did so without missing a beat. I offer my sincere recommendations to anyone considering using Shalom Pollack as their tour guide in the Holy Land. I was very pleased with his guiding and leadership skills. As an observant Jew, he is able to explain the Jewish mindset, history, and faith to Christian audiences. As an Israeli citizen, he is able to explain current political conditions in Israel and the Middle East. As a former US resident, he is able to communicate without barrier of accent or understanding. Each time Shalom has spoken to my Christian groups, he stirs within us a greater love for Israel and a stronger Zionism. I heartily endorse Shalom Pollack.
